The Oklahoma Farming and Ranching Foundation is proud to recognize Ross Seed Company for their contribution to the Pork for Packs Program.
Through the Pork for Packs program, the Oklahoma Farming and Ranching Foundation takes donated livestock to produce nutritious, high-protein pork sticks to distribute through the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma’s and the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma’s Food for Kids programs.
The Food for Kids programs provide non-perishable foods to over 29,000 chronically hungry students in all 77 Oklahoma counties each week. Thanks to the generosity of FFA and 4-H livestock showing students during the Oklahoma Youth Expo, the Oklahoma Farming and Ranching Foundation received over 250 livestock donations in March, which will produce approximately 280,000 pork sticks for the backpack programs.
“Ross Seed Company’s feed donation helps us focus additional resources to meet this critical need in communities across our state. We are so grateful for Tom Ross and his continued support of this foundation and the Pork for Packs program.” said Jeramy Rich, president of the Oklahoma Farming and Ranching Foundation.
With locations in Chickasha and El Reno, Ross Seed Company and True Value Hardware Stores have been serving those communities for over 90 years.
